Windows application active in the taskbar but does not display on screen

STEPS to resolve:

1. Hover over the app in the windows taskbar

2. From the pop up that appears, right click the header bar and select Maximize (see screen shot below for example with notepad)

3. This will cause the window to appear maximized on the screen.

4. If maximized does not work try selecting Restore
